5 CARC centers open 

We are in Kabwezi Kenya dedicating the newest CARC center, Expansion is the season with 2 new CARCs producing filters and reaching new regions with practical transformation.

Atiak CARC in full swing 

Clean water... we take it for granted in the west, just turn the tap or open another bottle. But up on the Sudan border as people leave IDP camps and head back into the bush and slash out a farm, Clean drinking water becomes a make it or break it  piece of the puzzle. The Atiak CARC is expanding the footprint of filters into the regional area and even the no man's land of the border area. over 300 filters locally produced so far.

Patrick in Kibwezi 

We are happy to introduce you to Patrick. He has attended Bio Sand Water Filter training in Uganda and is now heading the filter production at our CARC in Kibwezi, Kenya. Thank you Patrick for the great work! As you can see from the picture, he is in a dry and thirsty land.

Rain Water Harvesting May 2011 

A Connect Africa RWHT (Rainwater Harvesting Training) conference is underway here at the Hub, as we host people from as far away as the Kenyan Coast and build a 15,000 lt ISSB tank. Students are learning to make ISSB bricks on site and build a sustainable solution to water problems.

Bio sand Waterfilter training 

With 6 CARC centers in full BSF filter production, training and releasing this technology in East Africa has stayed the core of our focus. April 2011 has the CAWST organization training in M&E monitoring and evaluation with a water testing lab set up at the Hub and filters in the surrounding area undergoing testing.
