Trev, Jana and Jayden and Justin
The Tychon's have been in Africa almost 4 years now, and the the ministry called Connect Africa has been expanding, as well as the Tychon family over this time period. In Feburary 2006 Jayden made his appearance in Kampala and into our lives and signaled a new phase of life, Family Time... And his grandparents are sure glad they came to live next door in Kampala. Connect Africa has been emerging over these last 4 years with Trevor and Jana arriving in Kampala Uganda in March 2003, Tex and Val moved over to Africa and into the Praise house (next door) in 2004. We started with the simple vision to connect to Africa, and to Africians in a very relational way, by serving one another, and connecting resources, ideas, technologies, and friends to locations and situations that God was opening for us. Over the years we have seen the Connect Africa team emerge with almost 40 native leaders, both men and women, joining with us to minister in cross cultural situations among many tribes, and in several countries. Jana brings to the mix an amazing passion for the fire of God and Intercession. She has been employed as a Contract Administrator in the Bay Area and has gained valuable managment skills that comes in handy in Uganda. She heads up the Medical Kits and oversees the budgets for the events. Trevor heads the Connect Africa team as visionary and head servant, and brings the party to most situations. I've been following a passion for using multi-media in ministry (primarily in the mission field) to communicate the Good News around the world. Most recently, I have come off a staff position as Multimedia Director at the Valley Vineyard of San Ramon. My desire is to integrate my passion for life and the Kingdom of God with technical tools and resources to communicate what indigenous ministries are doing around the world, so stay tuned to the website and see what happens!
