Children's Ministry

The sweetest part of the ministry actually happened spontaneously after the team had finished washing clothes. Sylvia just called the dirtiest looking child over and sat him in a basin of soap and water and lovingly bathed him. Elizabeth soon joined her in drying him and applied Vaseline to his dry skin, and other team members decided to wash his clothes, and give him a new set of clothes they had brought with them from Kampala. Then, hey, why not feed him some leftover food? The little boy ran home and got his little brother that he might be washed and fed as well. Their Grandmother also came and thanked the team in tears, sharing how the parents of the children had died and that she was overwhelmed by the needs of the children. It was another very tender moment and soon a line of children began to form, hoping they too would be chosen for such tender loving care.
